The Private Practice Startup was co-founded by Kate Campbell, PhD, LMFT & Katie Lemieux, LMFT, two therapists who built their 6-figure private practices from the ground up. We're passionate about inspiring mental health professionals to grow their businesses and live lives they love! Michael Diettrich-Chastain is founder and principal of Arc Integrated, a consulting and coaching firm in Asheville, NC. Arc Integrated specializes in assessment, training and coaching for teams and leaders who want to improve emotional intelligence, leadership and communication. 
Michael's professional background includes corporate training, executive coaching, psychotherapy, leadership development, sales and account management. Michael still holds a license in NC as a Licensed Professional Counselor but now focuses exclusively on his coaching and consulting practice.
Michael is certified in multiple assessment tools including the Advanced Insights Profile, The Actualized Leadership Profile, The Group Culture Profile and The Actualized Leadership Profile 360. These tools are used for development of teams and leaders within the context of professional coaching and organizational consulting. 
As a recipient of the Group Study Exchange scholarship through Rotary International, Michael has presented to various groups in South America on how the fields of training, mental health and coaching exist in the USA. In addition, Michael has published works in various media outlets including Entrepreneur, The Washington Post, Money and Time magazine. His first book will be released in March of 2019. 
Michael enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, listening to podcasts and has been studying and teaching at a martial arts school for more than 10 years. Michael often incorporates philosophies from martial arts study into his work with individuals and organizations.

Hillary Holmes, of hillytree design, grew up partly in Hawaii, mostly in Florida, with a long stint in NJ. From a young age, she was astounded by the colors and textures she found in nature and knew early on that one's surroundings could be a grounding force in life. A self taught artist and designer, she has taken classes in everything from 'Feng Shui for Interiors' at Moore College of Art & Design, to 'Silkscreening' at Parsons School of Design in NYC. Hillary is certified as a color consultant in the 'Confident Color System' ™. She loves to move around furniture when she's feeling stuck, takes dance classes whenever she can, and spends her downtime with her husband, cat and dog at their 70's ranch just outside of Asheville, NC.

Gordon Smith a licensed professional counselor and professional life coach in Asheville, North Carolina. He works with gifted adolescents, adults, and families to grow fully into themselves. Gordon recently completed two terms as an elected member of Asheville City Council. He has been a practicing counselor for 18 years, in private practice for ten of those years, in solo private practice for six of them. He is the founder and host of Notworking Asheville, a social scene for mental health professionals. Gordon also hosts a regular gathering of private pay practitioners. Gordon and his wife just finished up a building project and moved into a new home in Asheville. He loves traveling, disc golf, craft beer, and awkward situations.

Juan Santos is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice, Santos Counseling PLLC, in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Santos has a conducted over 75 immigration evaluations in his years of practice. Mr. Santos was born in the Dominican Republic and experienced the positive impact of transitioning to a life in the United States of America. He is very passionate and focused in this area, writing immigration evaluations. Mr. Santos found his niche in working with individuals and families navigating thorough the immigration process during his first job out of graduate school. He was able to work alongside, Dr. Robin Dock, a psychologist and professor of Winston Salem State University who held years of experience in supporting clients with legal related issues. 
Mr. Santos utilizes his years of experience in working with immigration attorneys and writing hardship evaluations to train clinicians interested in the niche or desiring to improve their skills.
Juan is currently a doctorate student at the University of the Cumberland’s where he is a pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Mr. Santos hopes to utilize his doctorate studies to strengthen his skills in writing expert level evaluations and in training aspiring clinicians interested in the field.
Mr. Santos is a father of two, 4-year-old Nola and 2-year-old Alexander. He is married to his wife, Elizabeth Livingston Santos. Together they enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, practicing minimalism, and spending time with family and friends.
In his years of practice, Juan has attained recognition in publishing self-help books aimed to address issues ranging from anxiety to relationship, he was the recipient Winston Salem State University Alumni Achiever 2015, the Winston Salem Under 40 Leadership Achiever, and the 2015 Notable Latino of the Triad Award. Juan has presented his work in immigration hardship evaluations with GoodTherapy and is scheduled to present at the LPCANC fall conference.
